To microchip or to not microchip... that is my question!

Hey everyone, I just wanted some feedback on who all has their babies microchipped and if you don't, is there any specific reason why you haven't? I know a lot of people do the microchipping procedure at the time of spay/neuter, but I was such a nervous wreck about just that procedure I completely forgot to ask about microchipping. I know online they say the procedure is similar to drawing blood. I just wondered if the size of the dog made a difference. Gizmo's friend Bella (shih tzu) was sedated at the time of her microchipping... I've done my research, I just would like to hear some opinions!

Max is microchipped and it was done during one of our regular vet visits, no sedation.

I picked Wooster up at 8 weeks, and he had already been chipped by the breeder. I understand that that's fairly common here, as dogs are required by law to have a microchip here in Denmark.

Gizmo is microchipped and obviously had no problems being chipped.

    I highly recommend microchipping.
